Please turn off your date function. Aside from that, this is a cute idea, but the contrast and focus could be better. Also, read the tutorial on how to resize images for DPC - you lose a lot of impact by not using the full size of 640 pixels on at least one side: //www.dpchallenge.com/tutorial.php?TUTORIAL_ID=26

Interesting idea. The date stamp in the photo really takes away from it though.

Cool idea. I think the focus should be on the apple and the worm though. Going with a larger size image would help too. I'm guessing about 800 people have told you about the datestamp, so I won't mention it ;)

LOL cute photo, love the expression and well done on putting the gummy worm in the apple, only things that I can see that mite hurt a bit are the date stamp and it seems a little soft in the focus. Personally I like it though, good job :)

date stamp? Need to turn that off, it's distracting

Neat idea and composition. However, there doesn't seem to be anything in focus and the date stamp really needs to be removed as it is very distracting from the picture. Don't give up though, you have a really good eye. Just get the focus right and you will do good.

Guess there's no doubt about the date it was taken.

very cute idea- the date in the upper left really needs to go! the focus is a little soft and the image could use a better background, a little boost of brightness and contrast as well

What a fantastic idea, for me if the dof had been deep or you had got the apple sharp and shay slighty oof this would have been a ribbon winner

I think you may also suffer for having the date stamp on the picture

Fun image, well done

Whoa! I almost submitted the same thing. Great minds think alike, I guess!

For me, with a bit more focus on the apple itself, I would have scored it higher. Also, I think the rules state not to have the dates show up on your images. You will want to change that on your camera setting. I do like the idea/concept behind your image though.

Great idea and excellent expression! Maybe could use a little sharpening and contrast. You probably already have a a heap of comments about text not being allowed, so I won't mention it... ;)

Should have gotten rid of the date stamp.

This will probably get DQ'd for the text. Turn off the date thing! better luck next time

good imagination, unfortunately some technical details let this picture down.
Here are a few: even what you wanted in focus, is not. the background (tree) is a good idea as a relation to the apple, but it's not filling all the way to the right side. no text in the picture (date stam of your camera). On the good side: you followed the rules of thirds, lighting is good, no washed out areas, you got colors in your picture.

Nice idea - it would have been better if the apple was in focus and there was not date and time stamp on your picture.

you forgot to turn off the date in your camera.

Whoops! I think the date stamp might getcha DQ'ed. :-(

oh boy....this will probably be dq'd because of the date stamp. Next time shut that feature off on your camera. Constructively speaking, the focus should be a lot better on the worm and apple. The whole shot seems to be out of good focus.

Cute idea but the time stamp is enormously distracting.
