 Went for a wander in our local artists community. It's a wonderful place, interesting buildings/sculptures, tucked away in the bush close to town.

Converted to b/w with channel mixer, duplicated layer changed mode to soft light and lowered the opacity. Added a layer of granite texture (taken at the quarry)overlay mode as I wanted to try and get an old feel to the shot.

Border. Top layer image, lower layer granite. Top layer used the rectangular marquee tool and selected the shape I wanted, invert selection ->quick mask. Filter Distort Ocean Ripple repeated several times. Exit quick mask and either delete the selection or use a mask to get the tatty edge look.

Very cool and interesting find. There is a black line going across..above the face but I am not sure what that is? Very cool pic.

What an interesting grouping of textures and shapes. Great processing. There apears to be a "scratch" across the frame above the statue's head, is this just part of the texture layer?

This looks nice. There seems to be a ghost on the right (probably just the path). What an editing you did! Was the original so bad or did you just wanted to create something special?
