 Editing was strangely enough just sharpening.. heck I could have entered this in minimal editing.. though I've gone back and used selective colour...

It's been ages since I entered any challenges.. so yeah...

ooh.. I managed to pull an Urfa here..hehe..[which means I was ambiguous as hell] my idea was no matter how crappy a place or dirty the food was, nature was the wealth that was more precious.. I really should have studied psychology.. I sucketh at understanding how people will perceive things..

Hand and jewelry were very nice, but apple did not seem to fit in (the message you were trying to convey was too subtle for me and probably a lot of other voters). Substituting a gold orb (or something similar) for the apple would (and perhaps also a nicer surface) would have conveyed wealth in a more conventional sense and thus strengthened this considerably as a challenge entry.

If one gets away from the Wealth theme and just looks at the photo by itself, it is really nice -- great contrast between the nice jewelry, on the one hand, and the bad apple and ground, on the other.

I am surprised this did not finish in the top 5!! Even if the meaning wasn't clear to everyone, its still technically the best shot in the challenge and it shows wealth in too many ways!

That's a pretty bad looking apple and floor contrasting greatly with the rich hand and arm. I'm not sure what is being said here.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say with this picture...is the apple supposed to be rotted? fresh? In either case that's something I think would make this a much stronger image.
