Nice DOF shot. The only thing I might have done differently; crop the bottom a bit tighter. The lower left corner is a bit distracting to me. If you cropped above that and used partial orange and yellow gears, it might shift even more focus onto the green one.

I actually like the blur here. It is a good example of soft focus. It is difficult for me to see what is IN focus, though. Nice composition and colors.

Interesting use of shapes, colors and diffused lighting...but I really don't see anything in focus here. I suppose the Lime colored gear is what the focal point is but it still look a little soft. I still find this to be one of the more interesting photos of this challenge though.

very creative and interesting idea, however there really is no central focal point which enables the viewer to sense the shallow depth of field.

I really don't see what IS in focus so I can't tell if this is shallow DOF...

At first, I was looking for the focused part. Then I reread the title and saw it. Very subtle, original. Well done. Good luck.

Cool Idea, but I'm not sure what is standing out here. Great compostion, I think the focus is just a bit off.

Nice idea. Not sure it works as wll as it might. DOF effect does not jump out,

Although nothing is focused, it really works with the colors.
