OK well it would appear that the DPC world did not view this in the same light I did

Still think this is a nice unique take on the challenge and the black background works very well

Love the title too

Hey Charlene - what a great find! The light and shadows look awesome. Going for soft focus, like soft and gentle waves, right? :D

Could have had better focus, and being less centered would have added some appeal.

I wish the s-curve was a stronger element in the composition.

It meets the challenge, but appears to be grainy and not very sharp on the curves. The edge looks sharp.

Looks blurry... part of a bigger photo???

The focus seems to be on the left straight edge and not on the curves.

blurry, a bit of a boring subject.

Looks a bit oof (motion blur?) - did you use a tripod? The black vertical edges look like masks - they don't look like the real edge of the column.

a little out of focus for me, maybe that's what you were going for, but it doesn't work for me

Its a little flat, nothings really popping out at me, I think you could make this better with a little consideration on lighting, and composition, try not to rely on cropping so much :)

could be a touch sharper.

I love the idea, but it's just that the subject isn't in focus.

Nice but the focus is a little soft for my liking

Good subject, but not real sharp. Also the black sidebars are distracting.
