Great idea, and a fine execution too. It might have been even better if the man's face were just a tiny bit more in focus. One of my favorites in this challenge. |

Very good concept for this photo. I would have liked to see a little stronger (direct view) of the photo and perhaps less distance between the two. |

This is a clever idea, but it would seem that 78 is as worthy of respect (sharp focus) as 2. |

This has a great photojournalistic as well as a family memoir mood to it. It's certainly something I would expect to see in a newspaper/magazine article about the person. The in-focus baby photograph is sharp and clear, and the OOF person is enough to bring the focus to the front but not enough that the person is completely out of the picture either. I like it! |

Move the two subjects closer together and focus on the gentlemans hands and this is an awesome shot!!! As is, I'm a little confused (without looking at the title, and the title shouldn't "make" the shot) as to where I'm supposed to look. I keep wanting to go to the elder since that is where the lines lead, but he's OOF...

I think this would actually have been more effective as a wide DOF shot - using small aperture to get both the photograph and the man sharp. Obviously then it wouldn't meet the challenge though :-) |

Wonderful shot! Good use of shallow DOF, I like the texture introduced by the table, and the character of the photo and person beyond. Super job! |
