I've no concrete idea as to why this didn't score a six, to tell you the truth. DPC is a very picky place and free studies are tougher than most challenges. Good clarity, very pleasing color. The OOF branch in the foreground (which I like) may have hurt some. Composition is a bit centered, but appropriate for this subject. And I have a theory that half the time score is luck of the draw - it makes me feel better, anyway. :-) |

It's very pretty! Nice job on getting all the details of the butterfly. The black and white spots are my favorite part. |

It is difficult to take shoot for this kind butterlfy because the color is dark and cannot got the detail on the butterfly body. |

avg vote, the butterfly is not very crisp, the head is blured slightly and kinda wish the front top branch was behind butterfly rather then hiding it a bit |
