One of the most amazing landmarks in Cyclades, Greece. The monastery of Panagias Hozoviotissas in Amorgos.

Adjustments in Lightroom, Highlight recoveyr, exposure and blacks. Then in CS3, a bit of levels, USM and save for web.

There's something about how dark the sky is against the brightness of the monastery itself. I do wonder what the color version looks like.

I love the pure white in the building and its a beautiful black sky, nice use of lights and darks here.

May just be the (mis)calibration of my monitor but the monestery has lost near all detail and is incredibly stark.

Sorry, this doesn't work so well for me. The monastery looks unnaturally white (with parts blown out) against the gray cliffs. I think this might be more effective in color?

Pretty flat overall. Hard to tell what I am looking at outside of the title. Doesnt grab me at all.

I guess you were going for a symbolic gesture with the high contrast. I'm not sure it works fo me, neither does the black sky. 5
