I'm reminded of that scene in "Tootsie" when the director asks how far can the camera pull back, and the reply is: "How about Cleveland?"

I have no self esteem issues, but this is why my avatar is shot from behind...

It just seems appropriate to put a face out there first so you'll know who is responsible for the remaining 29 days of nonsense.

And yes, my eye really does look like that.... really...
umm

....really.

I like the simple composition. Nice blue eye(s). Yes, the white is a bit... unreal. What excesses are you covering up? :-)

And where, oh where, are the peeps? Maybe you could turn the catchlight into a peep via post processing.

That is, if Chuck will let you. :)

Oh come on - this is a fantastic SP - great colors and lighting. And you're not bad to look at, either.

No peep? No Chuck? Somehow I think this is the calm before the storm. Nice SP!

Great self-portrait. I like how your face fades into darkness. The negative space works well here. The darkness on the left really emphasizes the eye.

you said ... "Don't be frightened children - it's not real... " ... well, it looks real to me .. altho its possible that a good photoshop artist could fool anyone .. !! :)
it looks like you've already started with the nonesense .. and an excellent start too .. love this image for the insanity of it ... that eye is totally mad .. i looks like that top lid has been surgically sewed open ... i'm hoping that you can actually close that eye ... wot a bummer to be never able to shut off the visual smorgasboard that we are constantly bombarded with .. enough to make you go totally crazy !! .. :)

ROFL - love the explanation. I like the play of light and shadow. You have the whitest whites to your eyes. WOW

CUTE MUG MAN - welcome to the group. ;~D
