Yes, he's a goof. :)

' iamwoman's post today showing her son turning 5 inspired me to take this shot. While Mason won't be turning 5 for another few weeks, this challenge will be over by then so I thought I'd do it now. :) Here he's standing in front of a portrait I took of him back when he was 3. Lil' buggers growin' up.

And yes, he was a goof back then too.

As far as the details, bounced flash off the ceiling above him. PP included, among other things, adding a little acid and adding a polaroid border. :)

This was one of his first DPC appearances way back in 2004, practically grown up here. :)

I like the polaroid border you used. It is neat how you captured him with his picture in the background. Great idea.

What a cute shot! I love how you incorporated his younger portrait in the background & the editing works perfectly. He looks like he's full of spunk, ready to get out & run around!

This is so wonderfully warm and emotive for me...watching kids grow and evolve- just the stuff of life and perfect for this 30 day thing.

It's clearly the same young man. Even though its bright because of the flash, the detail is good, and I like that you cropped his head the same as in the wall portrait. Great expression, too.

What is this...acid? And, where does one get some?

Very cute! I love the composition with Mason in the two corners of the shot. The border works great, as does the slight acid treatment.

A lovely photo but like I mentioned to SandyP, I don't like the acid treatment. I think I may be in the minority though on that.

Great idea for a composition with the portrait in the background. What a cutie Mason is! Your border gives this an old-fashioned, nostalgic feel. Nice light on him!

Great stuff. Very clear, good lighting, nice comp. I like the acid pp. Is there a particular plug-in you used for this? Thanks!
