The colors are amazing. I can only imagine what it must have looked like with all the color in the sky. It looks so deserted and peaceful there. Love the fish story. That must have been one sight to see. Unfortunate that you didn't get the crane, maybe next time! :o) |

Really nice sunset, & a great story to go along with it. Why does it always seem like you see the neatest stuff when lighting (especially) is horrible!? |

I love the colors and tones in this photo, I also like the diagonal that the rivers edge created in this frame. |

you had a great time on the banks of that beautiful lake .. as far as i'm concerned you didnt miss out at all, this scene is stunning .. i love how the clouds and the water enclose that gorgeous lighted area ... the boat on the shore in the dark is great ... is it even a boat ?? .. i'm thinking that my monitor is set too dark .. i tilted it and it became clear that the boat was a log !!... it still looks good tho .. :) |

Oh my. You didn't miss at all - you hit it perfectly. This is sublime. This is light that holds all the magic of the day to keep it safe during the night. This is wonderfully, deeply real. Beats the crap out of oversaturated deep blue/orange sunsets in my book. |

I must echo everyone else's comment and agree that the cool blue and golden tones are beautiful! I'm sure the sky would have been amazing a bit earlier, but this is amazing in a more peaceful way. |

Ohmy. . .this is so beautiful! You can still see the sunset colors in the water, and I love the night time blue. This is a gorgeous dusk/night photo. I think equally as good as if you had caught the sunset in its peak.

The blue/yellow colors always work well together. I don't have any water that's particularly close to me other than a creek (without driving several miles to get to a lake) so getting to see this vicariously through you is NICE. We call that "buttermilk sky." I think it's beautiful. |

This turned out quite well. I love the high contrast between water and sky/land. Nearly every time I'm out shooting sunsets the photogs and non-photogs leave right after sunset. They are missing some of the best moments - the 30 minutes or so after the sunset. |
