i went for a walk this morning and there were some awesome clouds ... i had polarizing filter on camera ...
i felt however that a bit'v colour contrast and lucisart might give it more drama ..
opened jpeg ..
did a touch of lucisart that gave it a more contrasty and textured appearance in the clouds ..
i did a red vignette normal blending mode & a yellow vignette blending mode overlay and erased in both layers everywhere except where you can see the glow ..
i then did a new layer and filled with a very dark brown which i made blending mode overlay and erased same as the vignettes ..
i did the two overlays and the filled layer to get the effect i wanted because i couldnt get the colour any other way ..
and after putting this in dpc i think i overdid the glow .. this might be an example of what not to do !!! .. the original, just nature unphotoshopped, is beautiful in a subtle way with no 'help' from me ..
i've been known to overdo things ...
this is the original ..

I like the wispy clouds; they certainly pull the eye upward. It is neat how the bushes almost mimic the wispiness of the clouds. Lovely colors!

Roz- what a freakishly cool sky! The clouds seem to have been raked by the trees to give them their texture

Wow, what fantastic patterns in the sky and with the tree on the left! I love the cool processing you've done with your image. Thanks for sharing that...I haven't tried layers before. Maybe one day.

I Love your image, it's swirling with activity.

I don't think you overdid it. But then I'm kind of a splashy person, myself. This is breath taking. The unusual cloud formations are so beautifully enhanced by your PP. Very cool photo, Roz.

Not overdone for my tastes! I love the contrast and texture enhancement on those amazing clouds from LucisArt. And thanks for the processing details, that's a very cool way to add color!

I like them both, but think about halfway between the 2 would be perfect to me. Thanks for all the comments of how you achieve the effects, they're making me go play with new ideas in ps.
