So, umm, this is where I, umm, live. For now. The view from the second floor of podville. Which explains a little why I'm not gonna play in the "slice of life" challenge. Which is sad. But I can only take so much beige....

OK, OK - so I changed my mind about the side challenge. You want beige? Beige you shall have!

Such a barren place and so little color to look at. At least there is a beautiful blue sky to look at! :o)

You can do macros, maybe a closeup of that empty cable spool, it may have interesting wood grain.

Wow, not much vegetation there, is there? Not much of anything. Good luck finding inspiration!

Hang in there! I like you posting, even if it is all beige because that helps me to remember that there are *people* over there, and it reminds me to pray daily for those serving, in whatever capacity, in dangerous places.

Hey, good luck with your journeys. I bet you have a lot of stories to tell. Frankly, I'd love to see your style of photography from where you're at because the scenery is so different.

Prayers are with you everyday....okay? Nice detail and tones on your image, btw!! Sorry about the beige, I can relate. I live in snow 5 months out of the year and b/w gets tiresome. Hang in there.

Awwwww. . ..darn. . .I was wondering where you were and was missing you here, Deb :( And with all the gorgeous photos you've been posting lately of mosques and beaches, and 7+ scoring sunsets, I thought yours would be the hits of the show. :(

I have to pass by your favorite trees tomorrow. . .I'll think of you and tell them to wait patiently, someday you'll be back and will no doubt appreciate them more than ever.

I miss Thomas and Emma too :(

Man - that's just about as desolate as it comes!!! Thanks for sharing. You'll look back on this in a year and kiss every tree you see!!

Maybe there's some kind of wildlife you could acidise and texturize!

I see what you mean, as it does has a bland appeal about it.....
Just keep safe and well for us, as pou are always in my thoughts and prayers.

I bet you could find a stand-in cat in Kuwait.

Anyway, you are somewhere unique doing something (?) special, and building memories. Sounds like the perfect setting for a slice of life.

...Even if it is all one dull, flat, boring color.
