Just want to thank all who took time to comment on my entry. My daughters level of patience is very low, so i got what i could out of her and thank her for the time she gave me. If i could have done it differently, i would have changed her position against the wall so those annoying bumps could have been avoided and would have had her keep her eyes open. About the butterfly...try finding a live one in the middle of winter in NY. Still i am excited to have gotten to 6th place. |

This was one of my favorites in the challenge. I don't usually like the kid entries in the challenges since most are snapshots that don't fit the challenge but this one fits the challenge very well and is very artistically done. Great use of muted color. I like the mood this picture projects, the expression on your daughters face and the butterfly. I had hoped it would have won a ribbon. |

My second 10 for today and one of the few that I feel has captured the theme of letting go... Nicely executed. Should have concealed the little markings in the wall just in front of the girl (but it is no no with the rules, I believe... ). But hey - this is the winner anyway... Congrats in advance |

Nice idea but not convincing to me...perhaps if the little girl didn't have her eyes closed and appeared to be watching the butterfly flying away, that would have helped. Nice effort. |

I love the soft feel to the photo, but the fake butterfly really lowers the value. |

very beautiful... I think I'll try doing that with a live bird... that would be cool. great expression on her face. I think this would have looked very nice with a blue sky with a few high clouds in the background. The two spots on the background above her forehead are somewhat distracting. 9

Very nice photo. I like the use of light and shadow, and the look on her face is great. The spots on the wall are a minor distraction, and I wish the butterfly was real. It's one of the top 3 photos in this challenge in my book. Good job. |

Awesome photo!!! I give it a 9! Care to tell how you got this effect? The only nitpick I can offer is perhaps on the right side of the image there could have been more exposure/light/shadow detail. Good job! |

nice picture. i don't know about you, but i am seeing yellow specks all along this girl's arms.. i wonder what would have caused this.. its very faint, so you might have to look very closely to see. |

Great shot. Too bad you didn't have a real butterfly or a more realistic one. |

I expected a lot of these, but just this one. Good, too. Shame about the spots on the wall and the wisp of hair. |
