 I've been REALLY studying why my images don't work with flash etc.

Strobist has been a great starting point as has many of the resources that stem from that site.

I've also been watching YouTube about lighting and flash - lots of fabulous resources available.

Anyhoo - I FINALLY 'got' what fill flash was/is and how I can achieve it - phew!

As yet don't have an off camera ability to flash (coming soon), but I decided to see what my on camera flash could achieve - Whella!

My son outside at 4.30pm the sun was behind me but mostly hidden by clouds.

Used my on camera flash and this came out - got some other really fun images - the kids think it's VERY COOL that they are flying - GRIN!

Not only is the expression wonderful, but he composed your image just beautifully! Can't beat the sky either! Way to go.

I'm gonna have to start doing some learning too since I do not know what fill flash is or slave or whatever. Looks great! Hilarious expression and I love the eyes!
