I was taking some photos of butterflies and flowers for the floral challenge and this guy came out. I liked it better than the other photos so here it is. I hope you like it too...

This was a valuable lesson. I blew a 6.9xx for two spots. Actually I just did "normal" clean up and did not even think about it until after the challenge started. Here is a legal copy of the same photo.

Ron, I'm so sorry this got disqualified. I honestly can't even tell the difference between the one where you evidently cloned a couple of spots and the one where it would have been legal. They must have been the two tiny areas in the black?

Anyway, I think this is a fantastic capture. You've got great composition with the head right up there on the third, a nice diagonal line running through the photo, and it is very sharp, especially considering that I'm sure the lizard was moving. No wonder you have a 6.9+ going on this!

Oh, RON!!! BUMMER!! I am so sorry for you DQ!

What an awesome photo. Auuuuugghh the basic editing thing is so limiting!

Oh my word, I have only just spotted this DQ. I am so so sorry Ron. It seems very harsh but I guess rules are rules. DQ or not I have to say this remains a stunning shot and one of which you should be rightly proud

Woohoo!!!!!!!! Many many many congratulations on the top ten finish and the great score. The fact that two people scored this a 1 or 2 is quite frankly risible

This is a stunning shot that captures both a fantastic animal portrait and also action. In terms of colour and sharpness the image cannot be faultedand I love the leading diagonal that you have created

Breathtaking

Wow, great shot! Looks like a ribbon winner to me. I would like to see the tail included, but not if it causes too much detail loss in the head. 9
