Very nice. I would've cropped out the dark band at the bottom of the photo-- it makes the photo much more inviting. Still, a good shot. --6-- sohr

Very nice -- looks like a foggy day! I love the reflection of the kids in the water.

good balance between the children and the incoming wave. Love the mist, reflections and the sand as an anchor for the whole piece.

Nice moody shot and I like the way you balanced the sand, kids and ocean. Looks like a 9 to me.

beautiful shot :) I love the way the fog softens up this photo... This image gives me the impression that these kids don't get to come here often... In my humble opinion, this photo would carry much more impact with the dark strip of shore along the bottom cropped out of the image. That particular aspect of this photo creates a little too much contrast in an otherwise smooth and very powerful photo. Cropping this part out would also likely create a stronger composition of the children in the frame.... great shot :) = 8 - setzler

i loooove beaches, and i do like to go to the beach when it's not too hot, so i kind of appreciate that it's not sunny in your photo. makes me smile how kids never care about their clothes on the beach and i like how the little boy seems to be wary of the waves. bet you are getting reflection comments for this week's challenge, too.

challenge met -- yes
composition / appeal -- good, reflection and the positioning of the kids is done well.
technical -- good, even though i would like to see the colors to be not as muted by the mist.
overall -- 7

nice shot. I don't like the haze, but I know it's not always about things over which you have no control. Good Job - Inspzil 6
