 These pretty little flowers only come out in Texas when the weather cools down and autumn is in the air. I can't even imagine how competitive this challenge is going to be, and how many amazing photos there will undoubtedly be. I'm probably crazy for even entering, but I really love these flowers and wanted to throw them in the mix.

a fantastic and beautiful image .. the colours are exceptional as is the wonderful focus .. love how it singles out those flowers in that rhs area and softens out everywhere else ... :)

When I was looking through the images during voting I saw this and loved it on first sight. The focus and DOF are perfect (not to mention the colour). Great shot, Sandy!!

This is really well done. Finding the right composition in the see of flowers and setting the perfect point of focus and DOF, that is special. Beautiful shot with wonderful color and tone.

I just love the colours, and interesting use of DOF. But I'm having difficulty thinking of Autumn....I look at this and think of Spring. Lovely image!

Love these "pretty little flowers" and your 3D dof captured. A wonderful capture with beautiful colors. Now I have another reason to go back to SAT...a brewery with pretty flowers. ;)

The flowers are indeed beautiful and the lilac/yellow/green colour combination works fantastically

Super dof as well which gives the backdrop a hint of bokeh without diminshing its impact

Lovely photo Sandy...something very magical about that DOF! Which gets me to wondering, how did you an aperture of 2.5 on a a 4.0 lens?

very awsome photo, i like the blurred background, woulda picked off that small flower next to the center one and got all three flowers in the picture, rather having one half cut out.
