 this morning on the same flower where i took the photograph of the bee were these little insects ... they were very very small & i think they might be a sort of bee because they were landing of flowers and doing bee stuff etc .. they measured about 3-4mm & also move very quickly and dont stay long on any flower for long like the bee i photographed this morning .. ie


did a very small touch of lucisart on the little black insect to sharpen and give a bit'v contrast .. an adjustment layer in colour balance, cropped, border, resized and saved for web ..

"Shimmery" the perfect adjective for this photo. "Glimmery" would be another. Love all the jewel tones.

Sweet. Love the colors and the shimmer on the creature. I think it's a type of fly... like I'm a big Australian Insectologist... In any case, the photo is lovely. Totally good for Macro - hope you have something like that to submit. My Flora is bombing so badly that I think I'm possibly never going to submit anything again.

Add to the general concensus love the border...interesting little specimen there love his shimmery colours which are nicley matched by the tone of the rest of the photo

I don't know much about them, but perhaps it's a hover fly. Interesting looking beast, at any rate.
