I found this fella on the side of my house. I put him on a leaf and moved him to a garden bench where I could take his picture. When the sun came out from behind the clouds the brilliant blue just flashed out and I started snapping photos faster. Then the wind blew the leaf up and I got a shot of his face. I found this moth extremely fascinating. I hope you do too.

I am starting to worry about where you live Ron. Bug eating lizards one week and then this critter the next

Very impressive macro, great dof and the whites are positively glowing without being blown out. Super counterpoint with the elctric blue markings. Congrats on your second consequtive 6+ score (breakfast of champions still counts in my books) and on getting another shot on your front page

hey ron .. brilliant photograph .. a wonderful close up image .. that intense blue is amazing .. i do find him fascinating .. i really like macros and insects .. they are the most interesting creatures and this is an excellent example .. :)...

nice composition and colour, I think the problem I have with this is that the eye's are either not in focus or too dark against a dark background to see them clearly. I think a greater DOF would have improved this shot?
