 Didn't think of this shot until today when I found a scorpion spider outside of Quizno's. I had the black widow for 2 weeks now..found it in my garage. Yeah, scary! Got home and put the scorpion spider in with her and he didn't last a second. She is one tough spider. here are some pictures of the scorpion spider and other pics of the two of them. Hard choice to pick.

Was wondering why I could go so high with my aperture numbers.

I belive those are also called Sun spiders. They are found in most desert areas. Huge teeth on them. I am suprised ms. wido killed him. Makes sense though. Well ecellent shot, and I love the lighting and background.

I remember playing with one of these when I was a kid, then my dad came and smacked me in the head and told me they were poisonous. I really like your composition here, and lighting. Seems as if the spider is walking on air to eat. Nicely done.

This would be an interesting capture but the black is overexposed and the detail in the foreground is blurred, it's difficult to focus on anything.
