Facing a new day, only the sun could have a silly grin this early in the morning. I liked the warm looped texture of this terry cloth sun which hangs on the refrigerator in my kitchen. I wanted to include a little more than just a 'macro shot' of some yellow threads, ergo this scene. Lit by ever-changing natural sunlight streaming through windows on a...you guessed it, 'partly sunny' day. Used Hue/Saturation, Curves and Sharpening.

I can feel the texture on this shot, love the colour and the sharpness.

Interesting shot, nice lighting and texture. The blurred window is quite distracting.

Widely different light amounts on the animal look strange. The tilted window in the background draws attention from the 'texture' aspect.

A terry cloth bunny, I like that kind of texture. Nice shot, good use of natural light, and great colors. Should do fairly well in this challenge.

Good light here - especially effective on the towelling surfaces. A touch confusing with that panel or whatever it is in the background, but it serves to provide some balance at least.

cute as! Like the twisted angle.

nice colors. a couple of overexposed areas that are mildly distracting. I like the composition.

I like the tack sharp texture on the creature and the nice colors of the blue/green image in the background. Nicely done.

+ Good composition. You meet the challenge,
- but the subject choice isn't very interesting.

would have hung something black over the item on the right side of the photo. I find it distracting to what you wanted to grab. Like how the light plays off the stuffed toy

Interesting. Can't work out what that is on the Right??

Good capture of the texture on whatever this is ...toy. The window in the background detracts for me, but I think it was probably intentional.

Would have been more appealing without the background distraction.

i like the stuffed critter, but the blind or what have you in the background leaves me wondering what to look at...i.e. bad composition
