Great shot. Nice composition and interesting choice for texture.

somewhat intersting... nice composition.. and color...

This is pretty neat. Well done for adding a much needed bump in the fabric - gives it some depth and substance. 8

A touch more light and this would look almost like sand dunes (in a warped sense of the word).

I like the picture, I like the texture, I like the title. It's like a desert landscape, great!

Nice response to the challenge...but DOF distracts a bit. Nice color for the subject matter.

God idea, but looks dark. Maybe a soft spotlight on the focus area to add some additional contrast? Not sure about that, just a suggestion to try.

This looks something like a desert scene with your selective depth of field. Maybe it could be a bit crisper.

good texture

It's a bit dark, but I love how it looks like a sand dune. Nice shot!

With the closeup of the subject almost seems like the terrace landscaping or the sand of a desert blown by the wind. The very shallow depth of field isolates the texture of the corduroy.
I would like to see a version maybe with less shallow focusing. I think it would give the composition a more dramatic and interesting feeling. "9"

Interesting idea - some (small) suggestion of ploughed fields, though one would need to see more stuff to get that impression more strongly. Seems a little under-lit, or underexposed - all the tones have fallen into a kind of mid-range, rather than using a broader scal of intensity that might have allowed a greater sense of feel. Pretty shallow depth of field doesn't allow one to see the alteration of texture as the angle to the light changes, either.

The texture is here. The subject and composition don't hold my interest.

I haen't seen that stuff for a long time. I like the abstract value. I love that part. But, perhaps a little sharper with the focus and bring in a bit more lighting. It will help. Good DOF too. Good luck!

I like it. A little more light would make even better. 6
