 a zippo lighter ( mostly the lid ). sparked it with another lighter after just refilling it with fluid. this was a one shot deal. I tried to recreate it, but the lid wouldn't explode like that again.

used a long exposure of just the lighter with a pinpoint flash light - at about 20 secs. i turned off the flash lite, and sparked the lighter. exposed for another 5 secs.


its cropped because part of the zippo was somewhat over exposed.

very minor post processing.

i love the sparks.. interesting composition.. why is the cover burning? or is that the 'american-made' joke?
