Thanks for the nice and encouraging comments. I loved the soft shrubbry at the bottom of these gorgeous Aspens. I'm glad I was able to capture some of the soft, glowing beauty. I should have cropped the road off at the bottom. I'll always regret that!

Have you ever felt like you just wanted to 'melt' into an image?? That's how I felt when I looked at this gorgeous scene you've treated us to! The colors are so warm and encompassing, as are the soft yet crystal clear textures. I'm not sure what you are referring to about cropping out the road, do you mean those few posts define a road? In any case I actually like the posts in the lower left of the image, as it gives a sense of reality to the almost fantasy feel of the total image. Thanks for sharing this beautiful image, Darlene!

That is glorious color. I love the shades of gold from light to dark. Really like the way you composed this. Processing is quite nice - almost looks like a painting. Nice work!

Ohmygoodness! I was so tired and determined to post my Day 17 photo and go to bed and wake up tomorrow fresh and enjoy the new photos and comment on them -- but this one grabbed me in my delirious state and beckoned me to look closer than the thumbnail. And Wow! It was worth staying up late for :)

This certainly makes me wish autumn came before December in Texas! Splendor. . .that's what that is!

I always love a picture that makes me go: "Oooh!" after the thumbnail.

This one did.

The colors are beautiful, but it's the soft-yet-still-sharp detail that got the oooh. Nice job.
