 Having a play with photoshop not sure what i think of this. Was totally uninspired photography and everything wise just got the blehs!
This is one of my camelia bushes since they are past flowering I assume these must be new leaves all rolled up ready to unfurl.

i think this is really cool. i would go in there and work on the crackly texture so it's not so evenly applied -- like make it more prominent on the parts where it overlays the flower or something. :)

The texture makes it seem like we are looking through plexiglass or plastic of some kind. Like your background, too. If I'm not mistaken, those are next years blossoms.
