 Playing around with my 500mm with a 2x multiplier. The thing I noticed was the camera shake with every shutter actuation. I really need to get a better tripod!!!

Pretty basic processing. Shot in JPEG (camera set for minimal challenge entries), cropped, noise ninja, adjusted levels. Resized for web. Opened JPEG, noise ninja again, USM at small radius, save.

This was fun...I realize it is a bit oversharpened on the edges but it's the best I could do with basic editing and my shaky tripod. I just hope people like it!

Hoping for a score greater than 6, but will likely be in upper 5s

5.9? Hmmm... that's not right. VERY good shot, sometime DPC voters REALLLLLY make me wonder. Keep up the great work.

I love moon shots, and this is a real classic of the genre. Certainly I would be mightily hacked off if I had taken it and it had scored less than a 6. It may simply be that there have been quite a few in recent weeks and people are getting a bit blase about what is a beautiful subject fantastically executed

Landed right about where I thought didn't it? It was nice to see it in the 6s though mid week. I was rooting for it to hold there. Still - a 5.9+ is nothign to sneeze at - well done.
