good shot. It sort of reminds me of the classic photo (Nat Geographic cover if I recall) of the lady with amazing eyes.

Nice idea, but this boy doesn't look very hungry. He's very clean and healthy looking. But an awesome Picture!!

great idea, but I'm thinking you have fed your kids too much to really pull this off. (note to clarify, just a healthy weight) the cloth is a good choice and the BW works well as well could be a nicer conversion but with minimal it looks ok. Goodluck

I like your idea. For me however, the grays seem very flat. Too bad about the minimal editing - the use of curves and contrast would really aid this image.

honestly she doesn't look all that famished, she just seems like she is in a ragged cloth, good job getting in the detail with the minimal editing though

Technically a very nice photo, great lighting, lovely composition, but topic feels a little contrived.

Looks like a middle class child, is this staged?

I really like the shot as a portrait but it doesn't instantly strike me as photojournalism, I think surrounds to give context would make this a great shot but then it might lose some of the striking portrait element.

This is a great picture with great tones and a lot of drama. Unfortunately, for me, photojournalism can't be staged. So I am giving this a 5, but only because IMHO, it does not fit the definition of photojournalism.

great image...i can certainly see this in a front page..the little cont is that this image does not clearly compell a journalism work..8

I love this shot. Excellent close composition and expression. She doesn't physically look famished, but more of a model, though it does bring the emotion and point across.
