I gave this a three - here is why:
Bad lighting - the glare off the leaves is distracting.
Lacks interest
Poor DOF/focus |

| When viewing this, I am looking for the flower and not seeing one so its a bit strange. There is no obvious central subject to focus on which confuses the DOF when viewing |

| not a real good composition to highlight your idea. the new shoots get lost in the vast amount of green. the lighting is too harsh as well. |

| Subject is appropriate. Lighting is a bit harsh and it looks like what is in front of the in-focus leaf is actually a shoot, so I'm not sure the DOF and focus were quite right if you were trying to make me see shoots. |

| Good idea, the greens are nice, but unfortunately you've missed the new shoot in the focus. The lighting is a bit distracting too. |
