Thanks to all who liked this photo. Taking it involved a hike of 6 miles in 4 inches of new snow, the elevation was 10,500'. The snow capped mountains in the background are over 20 miles away. The valley is where the town of South Fork CO. is located. |

Initial=beautiful shot! Composition=nicely composed... Clarity (focus, details)=great.. love the detail from the dimension on the snow to the distant mountains. Exposure=well done Interesting or Emotive=Love the feeling of open space this evokes

I think this photograph meets the challenge perfectly. It lets me see a glimpse of your corner of the world while staying aethetically pleasing at the same time. The positioning is great. Maybe a little color boost. GREAT picture. 10 |

Odd to see snow associated with summer ! I haven't been in the Rockies for years, and forgot that it snows early on. Seems strange to see this one tree, and then no foliage for such a wide stretch. Nice shot; visual impact in the "moderate to high" range for me. lhall-8 |
