This is one of those accidental photographs... There was nothing intentional here, other than pointing my camera down a dark corridor. I forgot that I had the camera on aperture priority and, with the darkness, was hit with a handheld 8 second exposure. I panicked and moved the camera, covering the lens with my hand. ...Anyway, what you see is the result.
This is the old Central Terminal railroad station in Buffalo. There are two sources of light in this image: ...in this situation looking down a long dark corridor, punctuated by light from broken windows. That's the bluish light you see here. The yellow light is from the incandescent flashlight carried by this person.
I like it, and am real curious to see how the DPC crowd will take it. (My hunch is 5.2, with lots of scores on either end [...but that's ok. I hate neutrality - although, ironically, that final score is as neutral as it gets.)
Thanks, -len |

Really interesting, and a photo that I have come back to several times over the last few days. There is a real fantasy/nightmare/dream-like feeeling that is evoked. I am finding it very difficult to articulate my response to this one, but it really has impressed me. |

Too much black foreground for me.. I like the blur of the lights, but if the worker was in sharp focus, it would have really worked better for me..imho |
