Location: San Antonio Zoo
Date: Nov 10, 2007
Aperture: 5.6
ISO: 800
Shutter: 1/60
Galleries: Animals
Date Uploaded: Nov 10, 2007

In the last duotone challenge, I entered one of my all time best photos, sooooo this one was a hard act to follow, but I kind of used this challenge as a "Take Two" and tried to take a photo with that similar "look" that I like so much.

It was such a DARK overcast day that day, and the jaguar was sitting where it was darker still, so I had to use an 800 ISO!! I'm taking a photography course right now on flash photography. Next time, I think I'll know how to correctly use a flash so that I can keep my ISO at 100 and still get good light. I hope so.

Wow - what a beautiful cat! Deserved much higher than 6.09. I really like the tilt of his head in particular. Wonderful work as usual, Sandy!

Sandy

Another one of your astonishing animal portraits (you really should be a wildlife photographer). As always you amaze me with your sharpness, your composition and the richness of your tones.

Simply wonderful

I really expected to see this a lot higher! Lovely tones, expert post processing - and I'm VERY impressed - you'd never know you had the ISO that high! I want that image stabilized 70-200. There's no way I could hand hold at 1/60th. Nice work!
