Big, big, big tin of altoids. Believe it or not, it lost some color when converted to B&W.

Hmmm, there's something about the lighting I think that's not bringing out the maximum amount of texture available here. Glad you filled the frame with it, so good composition.

this doesn't hold much in the way of being attractive. If one was blue or red etc that would break it up a bit.

Is this saccharine?

I'm impressed that you were able to capture the tiny white-on-white texture within the texture. Well done!

Hey, I have a picture of altoids, too, somewhere in my portfolio. Perhaps in the Contrast challenge.

I like the randomness of the composition, and while it looks like they are "out of focus" I have found that this kind of candy is hard to look in focus, even if it is. Maybe a bit more contrast would help.

This is a little too bright for my taste. Tends to lose alot of the details and texture, might work better with a bit more contrast.

Intriguing - might make a good wallpaper. Your very muted b&w has some merit, though perhaps to bring out the quality of texture you might want to try setting black and white points further away from grey than this, to allow more graduation of light and shade throughout the image.

I see the texture, but the subject and composition just don't hold my interest.

Intererseting shot and perhaps needs to be a little darker for shadows to be more prominate. It would really bring oout more texture..I nice macro tho.

lacks a bit of tonal range, but this is probably more to do with the subject than the lighting. a difficult subject.

- These pills don't make a very appealing subject at the moment. A different light would have helped this photo a lot. The colours of the pills are peculiar.
