Thought this little guy could really had some wonderful texture. He is part of a set of book-ends, that we only have one of.

Setup up the camera on the tripod to get a low/natural light image. converted the image to grey-scale and cropped and resized the image to meet the requirements.

Interesting shot and composition. The background is perfect.

Not terribly interesting, doesn't convey much about texture. If the texture you're trying to portray is "fuzzy" than this (ceramic?) object isn't doing it (at least for me). 1

Looks a bit flat due to unimaginative lighting...

Some texture rmains, despite what appears to be very flat lighting. Some work needed on web presentation too - this is asmall image and avery small file, and that lack of inormation would hurt a great shot in the voting, and this isn't that good.

I see the texture, but the subject and composition just don't hold my interest. And although the title says fuzzy, that's not I see for the texture.

A sharper focus would have made the texture more distinguishable and thus more effective. I like the bw you have used.
