Good composition. Lighting and angles make this a striking photo.

great play of colors and I especially like the sunlight breaking up the dark colors.

a lot of elements shown to perfection. i can feel the (by modern standards) cramped steets. i love the colors here, too. great composition impeccably balanced. (10) ~mcmurma

I am a sucker for the old Europe photos.

Nice pic. Makes me want to go there. Great angle, none of the falling over building trap that so many fall into.

I recognise the English skies! I think this would suit from a tigher crop, on the foreground buildings perhaps- yes it would look 'jumbled and cramped' but that is the way the houses seem to be so it would be well reflected in the image. I'd try to avoid the sky in shots when it is dull and grey like this.

Great interplay of architectural lines. JEM

I like about this shot that it is at once both very simple and yet very layered. It definitely takes me into your world, which is incidentally very different from mine by all outward appearances. The repetition and the variation in the rooflines is interesting to me. 8, just-married

Definately the most beautiful shot of the lot this week! My favorite anyways. Composition is perfect, colors are wonderful. 10

Nice shot; love the angles and the colors. I like how the composition draws the eye right up to the roofline and the lovely ornate architecture up there. What an interesting looking place! lhall-8

Wish I lived somewhere as attractive as that.

I would like this better with more cropping to remove the blown out sky. 6

I'm so drawn in by this photo. The colors and textures give it a wonderful effect. I would love to see this in a oil painting. It's just got that homey look that really meets the challenge this week. = 9 Shiiizzzam

Really nice, good color and lighting.

Very cool! i love these buildings all squished together. It's interesting - esp to someone from America where we don't have bldgs like this. I think I like them in color too. Definitely a good, sharp pic even if I think I'd like to see below the bottom edge of the picture. GOOD WORK! ~indi

I love the lines and shapes in this photo. The only thing that bothers me is the sky, but i'm assuming it was a somewhat overcast-ish day and those are hard to deal with. Still, the colors pop out, which is great. 8 (the sky thing holds me back from anything higher, sorry!!)
