 I’ve been waiting for this challenge ever since I saw Terjes terje brilliant shot. .

I decided to try for a similar image. If I'd known beforehand that it was so difficult, I'd have gone for something else ;-) It took me three whole evenings to get this (nearly drove me nuts and tought me a LOT ;-).
I’m definitely not completely satisfied with it – but it was the closest I came to what I tried to get. I did hundreds and hundreds of shots and this was the SECOND LAST one.

Thanks to Terje for the inspiration.

This is beautiful shot Irene. What kinda lighting setup did you have for it? I tried this at home with 2 Canon 550x pointed to a fishtank and my wife dropping a fruit into the tank...the few captures I did take were way too dark..suggesting this would require some serious amount of light

Irene, Irene, Irene...I bet that when you grow up you want to be a mermaid! You have this thing about water!!! Well deserved ribbon. I know the idea is not original, but this is one of my favourites of this type of image. I love the colours in the water above...you are running H. O. T. at the moment, keep it up.

i really love this shot, if i had to change one thing i would crop it right at the water line and not show the drops on the edge of the glass /9

I like the subtle nuance of the chaos above the waterline and the fluidity below the surface. The column appears to be rising out of the kiwi instead of the it following the kiwi downward. Excellent focus and lighting. This is a top-notch photo. Great job.

Neato! Cropped and rotated 180 it looks like a weird mushroom... but as is I really like that you left the top portion.
