Challenge: Your Corner of the World (Classic Editing)
Camera: Polaroid PDC 1320
Location: Heirisson Island, Perth, Western Australia

I wanted to really capture the way I feel about my favourite place in the city of Perth. This is an island on the Swan River, right near the city, with some kangaroos and lots of beautiful birds. I love it there, but none of my kangaroo photos or anything else I tried really evoked the mood I feel as much as this black and white landscape shot.

I missed an "i" out of "tranquility"!

I doubt very many DPC members would know it as a typo -- especially since you haven't provided the correct spelling...
I'd suggest trying to this in duotone mode, as I find that adds a real sense of depth and detail to photos like this.

Initial=lovely
Composition=well done
Clarity (focus, details)=very good
Exposure=great tones
Interesting or Emotive=I find this to be an interesting image. The tones and leafless tree gives it a lonely starkness, yet there is alot going on in the image. Nicely done.

I am using a this new detailed commenting method inspired by autool. (Thanks

Love the b&w, and I like all the cloud action going on. Moderate visual impact for me. lhall-7

Neat place that you live! I think the use of b/w in this photo, works well. It definitely cuts down on the color, and emits a feeling of... tranquility as you put it :) This shot is quite pleasing to the eye.... 7 - JB

excellent landscape shot... black and white works well here as it accents the foreground nicely... I also like the definition of the clouds here... good shot :) = 8 - setzler

I feel this needs a bit more contrast than shown here, otherwise an interesting scene.

Perhaps too much 'foreground' with not very much in it ?

this is an ok composition, i would opt to concentrate on the water instead of the sky. 6 paganini

Have you ever experimented with INFRARED? A red filter lens would have really made the sky pop.
