Picture taken while strolling around in the surrounding villages... My thought was that cycling along an alley of trees is as ordinary and mundane as it gets...

Originally in colour, when I cropped it the remaining sky was a little too bleak (the part closest to the horizon). Rather than spending this sunny afternoon correcting that in PS, I converted it to a monocrome color and added some sepia tones.

One of my favorite compositions of the group. Can't say a thing about how it might be better.

m....very nice. I like that you've broken the stupid rules and put the horizon so low but I'd still get rid of a bit of the sky.

i really like the simplicty in this shot, and the repeition of the trees. i think the biker ads to the image.. perhap it could be a little darker, or higher contrast... but i still gave it an 8

Try this one by cropping out all the sky above the trees! It would be MUCH stronger. This way cyclist gets lost.

Superb. Pity the right-hand tree is a bit chopped off.

What a great focal point and I like the way you have repetition/ symmetry in the image from the trees and then the asymmetrical from the lone cyclist. Good choice to include huge expanse of empty sky.

Very nice shot - I love the use of negative space. It really gives the viewer a feeling of fresh air.

Not too mundane! Excellent composition - nice repeting pattern in the trees, cyclist gives perspective and human interest.

This is an excellent photograph. I love the low horizon and the choice of black and white here is a good one. The 'serendipity' bike rider in this photo really makes the image. Without that, there would not be much of a focal point. Good luck :)

A little too much sky for me. I would try cropping tighter.

I really like the simplicity in this shot. Your choice of B/W is a good one here!
I don't normally comment on titles, but I think in this case I will break my rule. Simply 'Going Somewhere' IMHO would be a much more effective title here! Nice work
