This is an everyday thing in two ways - a very standard photographic subject and a very common object here in the great white north.

This picture really strikes an emotion. I like the composition and the lighting is nice. The shadow running to the corner is a nice touch. The only thing I find distracting is the hot spot in the center of the leaf. It is a great pic and thank you for the great work!

Does it matter that I can't work out what this is? I think, given the challenge, that it does, a bit. It's a pleasant shot though, great tonally, and nicely composed. I like the light in this very much. I'd guess it's a frozen flower melting, but...

I can make out 1 of 2 items in this image and one is ice. Not sure what the other things is. I wish I knew what it was so I could score this higher. Based on the ice alone, it is a very good shot. Excellent details on the ice surface and realistic color.

Could you tell me what this is? It would help and I can't figure it out (unless it's suppose to be abstract - I'll assume that if I don't hear back)
Thanks for the info - I can see the leaf, twig, and ice now. It's quite extra-ordinary. I suggest making the subject fill the frame more - it's a great composition and the refection adds to the overall effect.
