Homage to Alansfreed's Illusion challenge entry along with help from his tutorial
Me and Me Also

30 sec exposure, had someone hit me with a flash each time I moved. The left me looks scary:) I wonder if I'll get a DQ request?
In PS, cropped, resized, grayscale, quadtone, gausian blur on the left and right me. A little burning done on the cheeks. I cloned out a couple of blemishes as well.

But you are not mundane.

Very intereresting shot. It creates an eerie mood.

how does this picture, interesting yes, makes the subject more important? I don't understand the link between the picture and the theme.

I don't think this meets the challenge, unless you are considered mundane. LOL.

just a personal note: Your profile scares me as much as mine does me. That being said, the straight on shot is very nice but the right and left profiles almost seem as if they are of another person.

The left and right profile images lack contrast and depth. Very creative idea, though!

I did not dislike the shot, but I was looking for the mundane in it and not finding it.

are you saying that you are mundane? Just joking.....this is a creative, different way to take a photo that probably would have otherwise been mundane...nice effect.....well done!

Quite a good idea I think, though your execution, in a challenge that allows the full scope of editing, is poor. You need to bring the white level way up from here, at least. Something disturbs in the composition area too - perhaps that your cropping asks too much of the eye in a very regular shape - and the privileged areas appear to be between the faces, rather than including them.
