 Wanted to represent the tears of man's conflict as viewed by women that see us in our animal instinctive machismo behaviorism.

Did some sharpening, but still couldn't get rid of the grain that I suppose comes with long exposure times, and practically no light but that of a candle.

Overall, I am happy with the emotional sense of the picture, and while the grain is there, I feel it somewhat adds to the tone of the picture, which my wife describes as disturbing....

This guy is completely right -- every single photo doesn't have to be "perfectly in focus" to be at its best.

Glad I don't live in this neighborhood. Good setup here. I like the composition, the night lighting. Actors? Let's hope so! Good placement of the woman just exiting the frame.

Good idea, but there's really no element in focus. Had the foreground girl been in sharp focus, this would have been far better.

Very well done. I get the immediate impression of the fear of the girl running from the scene of a crime. I like that the emotion element is stressed over the physical violence by the narrow DOF. 7

very interesting image - the guy against the wall looks a little staged, but the other two look very natural. I like the persperation (?) highlights on her face - it adds to the tense feeling of the image. I'm not normally big on the reddish glow look, but for this image it works well.

Looks like a scene from Cops..... Dramatic photo! Good job. (I might have simply entitled it Distressed.

meets the challenge! One of few that did. Vedry well put together. A bit blurry, but when in a sisturation as this. Everthing seems blurry. So I really rule out the blurryness. It acturally adds to the drama. Great work. A 10! Good luck.

Very good idea.. The swet,the color, the formation. Overall good capture of fear over conflict. The light in the right top corner is a bit of for me but not much.

This has the potential to be the one of the best pictures of this challenge. The biggest knock on it is that the focus is off. Its something that is rarely allowable, and in this case, it doesn't work for me. The theme of the photo is great and so is the mood created by the lighting. Just a little clearer and I think you would've put yourself toward the top with this photo. Well conceived just not executed quite to perfection. 7

fantastic.. superbly framed, and the lady's expression is spot on. Only qualm I have is the two guys in the background are a little grainy

This is a really effective photograph. I like that you didn't just fall into the trap of making it black and white. It's much more vivid in colour. You really captured the mood well. Good luck!
