 I could not start a "Slice of Life" SC without starting with coffee. This beverage starts my day 365 times a year! This was taken in my favorite coffee shop and I played with filters and opacity to experiment a bit. I also added a strong vignette, to emphasize the "spotlight" quality of the lighting that was already present. I just accentuated it.

Nice pic - very warm feeling. I bet you could stick a logo in there somewhere, maybe on the mug, and sell it.

I really like the texture accent of the table, nice detail in the coffee, nice positioning overall. I think the vingetting adds to the overall shot. Makes me really want coffee!

This is a great start!!! Even though it's the 7th, I am just starting my day and this surely looks appealing!!! Love the DOF and the Bokeh in a scene I normally wouldn't expect. Very nice!

I like the overall feel of this shot and agree that the vignette is well chosen. The warm colors really ties the scene together, too as well as your choice in DOF; love the Christmas lights and jar labels(?) But, I mean really, who uses that much Moca? The telltale sip track adds a lot too. I often wonder why Starbucks doesn't figure that out.

brilliant colours .. love the bright clean fresh comfortable feel of your favourite coffee shop .. i TOTALLY love cappuccinos and we have places called gloria jean's or michell's around where i live .. i dont know if they're international or not .. anyway, they make the best froth ever .. my family and friends say i should just order froth, but a smidgeon of coffee never goes astray .. well more than a smidgeon really .. smidgeon .. wot a weird and wonderful word .. :)

Beautiful shot, but where is the croissant? You might want to wipe the chocolate smudge off the front of the cup if you are going to reshoot to sell this shot to the coffeeshop for their ads.
