The homeless dogs in the Bahamas are a very sad story (1 street dog for every 4th resident) and I set out to capture a couple of pictures for my personal collection I'm building as well as this competition, I stumbled upon this poor girl on the side of the road. I think she got hit by the way her body was twisted (can't be seen here as this is probably the least heart-sickening picture in this set). Wasn't easy taking the picture and I'm sure it will get a lot of flak, but I'd be lying if this isn't one of the major "unseens" around here.

I think this was one of the best approaches to the challenge, an was my personal favorite. You did a great job creating a powerful image. I think it's just too bad that people seemed to vote it on the same level as other "roadkill" pictures.
