Nice shot, interesting POV and lighting. It doesn't convey the message of conflict by itself.

This image though technically sound, to me does not fit into the category of conflict.

Why what? Did he fall? Did someone steal his snowboard? Is he just wondering why he is sitting in the snow? I get no feeling from this at all.

Why what? Not sure where the conflict is on this shot. Not a bad shot but the shadows in the shot are very distracting and the yellow tinge around the bottom of his boot is also a bit distracting. The cropping at first looked a bit off to me but I see how you probably wanted to include the shadow on this shot. A 6 to start and if you could let me know how it meets the challenge I'll probably be able to go another point
