What an interesting little beetle. This picture gave me the shivers, I thought it was some sort of spider at first. It looks as if the beetle is going to come right out of the screen at me. I honestly thought the spider web was part of the picture and not an addition. Nice DOF and combining of pictures. |

Good find and good job putting them together.
I remember one year in Canberra, we had millions of them (around the War Memorial in particular), but that was when I was kid. There don't seem to be as many these days... |

Man I don't know what is real anymore.....good thing you put the original there, or I'd have thought this was the original! LOL That's a stunning photo and a freaky looking bug. Glad we don't have them here but they are colourful. |

The beetle looks like he's saying "Dude, I made it!". Fantastic macro, as always - even if it is of vermin. Love the combination of the two photos and how the beetle is poking his head out of the web. The front leg almost looks like it's climbing out, too, except for some web on the bottom there. The iridescence on the bug is great - seems to translate into the web, somehow. Neat photo, Roz. Take a photo of something furry, will ya? <---- j/k!!! You know how I feel about the creepies. :op |

Trippy pic!! I REALLY like it, it looks funky, like the beetle is going to kick the spider's butt that the web belongs too. Neat shot, I like the bright colors of the beetle too. |

I feel like I'm looking through the cobweb at the beetle.
That's one lucky beetle! |
