I like this shot alot, can't believe the bird shot that has ZERO to do with the challenge [even the photographer said so] finished higher. |

Interesting shot, nice background and DOF. |

I thought about this too, the conflict of war but decided not too. A good idea but the set up is a bit distracting in the end. The DOF is wonderful, the clarity of the one soldier but the background is very distracting and keeps drawing me away from the main subjects of the shot. A 6 |

Not a bad idea, but how about placing the guys so it's a direct face-off? I think that would be stronger. Background light (fire?) is good. |

This could be a powerful image but you can't take toys very seriously so they undermine the thought. |

Not much artistic merit here. |

I LOVE THIS. great photo, this is my top pic. 9 The blurred background fools you [well, me] into think it's a real background, great color and DOF. |

Nice idea. maybe they could have fight each other but a conflict anyway. Too much shallow depth of field for my taste, your main subject is not completely in focus. (6) |

Good use of background to add to the message, good lighting. DOF is a bit too shallow, but hey, it's good overall. |

It would be better if one was on fire...but I like the dramatic Army Men action |

I hope those are flaming plastic armymen in the background |

Interesting concept... I like it. DOF too shallow... I think more focus on all the pieces would have helped though. |

I love the background, but the lighting on the subjects could be improved. |

If only the all the little guys were in focus... the suitably blurry firey background is a brilliant touch and completely adds to the quality of the picture. Composition is also great - can't be faulted. I can't help but feel the third guy at the rear could probably a bit supefluous. Actually, I'm coming round to liking the out-of-focus soldiers... Oh, I don't know. 9. |

Excellent.... I really enjoy your photo, plenty of creativity, conveys the theme of the challenge, and nice dof, perhaps more would have helped. otherwise, Good job! |

Great shot...reminds me of when I was a kid..had the whole set! Your image shows the darkness of conflict, even when in an inanimate state. |

Good idea; might be even better if the edges of the slab could not be seen? |

Other characters are a little too blurred out for my liking. I like the orange background offsetting the figures |

nice idea - but the arrangement is poor. the lighting is worse, but then the DOF is pretty bad too. Not a pic i want to look at - initial impression is not good on that level. |
