What a crazy and rather stressful day this was. It all started off this morning when there was a two hour delay. I spent the two hour delay helping Taylor with a school project and studying for a social studies test. I then figured the time wrong that she needed to be out to the bus and she missed the bus and I had to drive her to school. Safely I rushed back home and quickly got Cartesia lunch and changed her clothes (she got pb&j all over her shirt) to get her on the bus for preschool. Once the girls were gone I headed out to run errands, returning home about 20 minutes before the girls were to get off the bus.

Off the bus the girls come, in the car we go, off we drive to therapy for Taylor. First session of therapy Cartesia decides she wants to go in the room and "watch". I knew this wasn't going to work as Tay gets swung on swings and such for her sensory disorder, Cartesia always has to do what sissy does. Two minutes in the room and Cartesia is ready to go back out. We walk out of the room and she quickly takes off into the room next door to "play" on the playground. I grab her and she throws herself on the floor. I carry her kicking and screaming out of the building to calm down in the car.

Therapy ends, in the car we go, off we drive Tay to acting class. I am thinking to myself, errands almost done just a couple more and I can go home and chill. Stop at Menards pick up foam sealant, stop at bank. Getting ready to leave bank and Ken calls, he is stuck in traffic and won't make it to pick Tay up on time. Wearily I had back up town, stop at Taco Bell to grab dinner, and then head to get Tay.

Finally, we head home and arrive safely. We eat dinner, hound Taylor to get her homework done, get a shower, and get in bed.

At last, it is about 8:45pm and the girls are in their room and ready to snuggle in for the night. I wait patiently for the girls to fall asleep so I can go in and capture them sweetly sleeping. Such stress the day gives and yet when night time falls upon us and the girls are asleep each night I can't help but go in and look at them and think how much I love them.

Sorry for the long story. I am very pleased with the way this turned out!

This is really nice. I like the different angle for each picture. And the pink tone is really well done.

So sweet and beautiful. Excellent composition, too. Wow - what a day you had! It's a bit after the fact now, but I'm just seeing this.

Beautiful processing - love the softness and the tones. Have you shown them the photo? I'd be interested to hear what they think.

You're become quite the master of that pinkish/dreamy effect on the girls. Nice job capturing the moment.

This is definitely sweet, I could see it hanging on your wall for a long time. And your story adds to the image, definitely understandably (is that a word??) a long day, all to appreciate how precious they are.

Great story. I still remember days like that and the boys/men are now aged 27 and 24 years! I'm so glad you got those great shots to remember in years to come.
The tone you used is absolutely perfect for the story and the effect you were going for.
Just a darned nice job in all. Congrats.

Oh! What a special image! You did a nice job on the photography, the processing and putting is all together. Your girls are beautiful! I remember those days, when my children were young, and so many errands and running around to do! I kind of miss them sometimes! Enjoy them, that time goes by so quickly!

I can totally relate - except my four kids have more energy at 8pm than at 8am - the activity is energizing for them!

omg amanda .. you must be a total ball of energy .. you had a huge day and then took photographs and did an awesome process .. ken said you did 'cute' much better than him today ... i reckon you'd come out even ... totally different and totally beautifully .. your story was like an action thriller with plot twists and turns that kept me guessing .. lol .. :)
