What the hell, this shots amazing. Extremely underrated!
My only problem is the top of the tree is cut off, but who cares, its still great.

I think your choice of processing was great for this image, I like it a lot! |

I don't get it. I'd have voted this a 6 or 7, and there's not one single thing wrong with it short of not being an Aurora in Iceland. |

Well this is gorgeous. Going into favs. This is the type of stuff I like. The only suggestion might be to reduce the blues a bit. I always feel blue and ice go together well, blue and snow not nearly so. Still love the overall shot. |

Personally, I think this is a great shot and well processed. I love the duotone that you did. I think this is a 6+ image. |

This is a beautiful scene. And I love the color. You were robed. |

I really find this a refreshing and wonderful scene. The blues really work for me, using them as a metaphor for the cold of winter. I think my favorite part of the photo is how these tall pines almost come across as small blades of grass being blown by some wind. The only thing that is a bit of a negative is that I feel the image seems a bit unbalanced - the darkness of the trees on the right seem to weigh the image down and pull the image down on that side while the brights/ whites on the left don't quite hold up the image enough.

The cut off tree runs almost in the center of the frame. So it has cut it into two sections. That is the first thing I notice. I wasn't there so I don't know if it was possible for you to move over more towards the left of the picture, but that seems to be a better spot to get the group of trees out of the center. I want to see the river and the trees are blocking my view. The color is good but not enough of a draw to overcome the flawed composition which is made unbearable by the cut off tree. Eventually that is all I can see in the picture. It's a real shame because it is a lovely place. |

I liked this quite well, so I don't think I'll be of any help in determining why it scored where it did. I think it conveys a lovely sense of winter calm and the blue toning suits it perfectly. |

I like the blue cast. Appears a bit soft, but still captures conveys the sense of cold. |

I think the crop is too tight. I'd like to see the top of the plant in the centre and more space to the left. |
