 taken at a sanctuary for previously injured or "humanized" birds of prey.
PP: adjustment layer for levels, decrease high-lights, dup. layer hard light @ 72%, clone out bars in BG, sharpen,re-size, neat image, save

Post Challenge: This owl was in a cage and the softness in the feathes are the bars criss-crossing. I appreciate the comments and critique.

I'm sure I don't want my cat meeting him on a dark night. He's gorgeous! Looks like there's a bit of motion blur that you tried to fix with sharpening, but the rest is great.

Perhaps just a bit too bright and my eyes keep getting pulled to the background by the vertical lines. I like the eyes the best.
