 Today's medium - Oil pastels. My basic art class has just started working with pastels. They are fun and o-so wonderfully messy.

Getting dirty was the fun part for me in art class - I'd get paint or whatever medium on every square inch of exposed skin. I love the colors in your image and the nice texture of the pastels. I can also smell them!

This is a really cool still life kind of thing. The color saturation works great for the pastels.

I remember these being left around by my son-he really is an artist all grown up ! This is so wonderfully clear & sharp.

great slice of life .. like that i can see some of the drawings underneath the pastels .. those pastels on the bottom left side of the image are extremely large !!:)

I would have the colors all over my camera if I was doing this shot. Have you tried putting a little on a clear lens filter and shooting? It would need to be a filter that you didn't really need, as it would be very difficult to get it all off.
